Here’s the first official image from Creed courtesy of Sylvester Stallone

With some photos from the set appearing online and the official synopsis cementing the plot of ROCKY spin-off CREED, we now have our first official look at Michael B. Jordan as Adonis Johnson and Sylvester Stallone as the immortal Rocky Balboa.

The image comes courtesy of Stallone's Instagram which I am sure will continue to be a destination for shots and updates from the boxing film. While we have yet to see how the film will actually look, director Ryan Coogler looks to be hewing close to director John G. Avildsen's original film. Even the Stallone-directed ROCKY BALBOA was a nice return to form after the awful fifth movie, but CREED looks like it could be a nice reboot for the franchise that seemed to have told it's final tale.

CREED will be the first film in the ROCKY franchise not to be written by Sylvester Stallone and the first since the original movie not to be directed by either Stallone or John G. Avildsen. Coogler proved himself a talent with FRUITVALE STATION and Michael B. Jordan has had his name linked to almost as many projects as Idris Elba. Let's hope this one pans out.

CREED hits theaters on November 25, 2015.

Get ready to go for it!
