New York Film Festival trailer shows off first footage from Inherent Vice

JoBloJoBlo

Given its release in under four months, we've seen very little of Paul Thomas Anderson's INHERENT VICE. Sure, there have been a few pictures along the way, but a trailer would be super fantastic. While we don't have that now, what we do have is the next best thing: clips from the film. Admittedly, the clips aren't very long, but it's the first footage we've seen from the film in this trailer for the upcoming New York Film Festival.

Take a look:

While I can't claim to be the biggest PTA fan, there's no denying that he gets a hell of a performance out of his actors. Words is that INHERENT VICE will be light by comparison to the rest of his filmography, so color me curious. With a cast that includes Joaquin Phoenix, Josh Brolin, Owen Wilson, Katherine Waterston, Reese Witherspoon, Benicio Del Toro, Jena Malone, Eric Roberts, Martin Short, and Maya Rudolph, it's impossible not to take notice.

After its premiere at the New York Film Festival, INHERENT VICE is currently scheduled for a a limited U.S. release on December 12, 2014 followed by an expanded release on January 9th 2015.
