First peek at The Amazing Spider-Man 2 poster teases Sinister Six with Electro, Rhino, and Green Goblin!

Many of you are nursing a food hangover at the moment, but I thought I’d take a second to share something pretty bad ass. Well, depending on how you see it, of course. A sneak peek at the poster for THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 teases the beginning of the Sinister Six (at least the Sony version) with the ol’ webhead facing off against Rhino (Paul Giamatti), Electro (Jamie Foxx), and Green Goblin (assuming Chris Cooper, but potentially Dane DeHaan). It’s a low res look, with a high res version sure to follow shortly as the first trailer is set to debut on December 5th.

Take a look:

The most interesting aspect of this whole thing is The Rhino, who looks to have a more robotic feel to him than the traditional mock up from the comics. I’m sure some folks will rally against this, but I think it could work well within the universe they’ve created here. I’m VERY interested to see it in action. As someone who was vehemently against the first film and felt it fell short aside from the actors involved, I’m actually getting pretty damn excited to see the sequel (and follow-on sequels). I know the complaint is “too many villains,” but seeing as they’re building toward Spidey’s ultimate rogues gallery, it actually kind of works. We’ll see after that trailer, eh?

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 swings into theaters on May 2, 2014.
