THOR: THE DARK WORLD looks to be a marked improvement over Kenneth Branagh‘s bland 2011 introduction to the Marvel character. While I liked the visual style brought to the movie, it just didn’t click for me the way other Marvel films have. With CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER and X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST upping the ante with quality comic adaptations in the coming year, THOR is left to pump up Disney/Marvel’s Phase Two. After IRON MAN 3 didn’t quite raise the bar enough, can Alan Taylor‘s film do the trick?
The Honest Trailers guys, in anticipation of THOR: THE DARK WORLD, have tackled the 2011 original and given it the treatment only they can deliver. The results are funny and very fair. So, to all of you who loved the original THOR, I give you this.
