This NSFW clip from Only God Forgives is the reason never to introduce your girlfriend to Kristin Scott Thomas

Despite not making it to the premiere of ONLY GOD FORGIVES at the Cannes Film Festival, Ryan Gosling is certainly living up to the expectations from fans and critics regarding his follow up collaboration with DRIVE director Nicolas Winding Refn. Some are saying the film is too violent while others are praising it. Whatever the case, ONLY GOD FORGIVES is definitely buzzing around the Internet.

This latest clip from the movie features an extended scene we have previously seen featuring Gosling’s character bringing his girlfriend to meet his mother played by Kristin Scott Thomas. Thomas looks to be playing a nightmare of a mother and if her performance through the entire film matches this scene, I see a potential Oscar nomination in her future.

Again, this clip is very NSFW.

ONLY GOD FORGIVES continues to impress me. I know many of you disliked DRIVE, so you will probably not like this film. If you loved DRIVE, I smell a potential thematic trilogy brewing courtesy of Gosling and Refn. ONLY GOD FORGIVES starring Ryan Gosling, Kristin Scott Thomas, and Vithaya Pansringarm starts fightin’ on July 19, 2013.
