Before the last night of my finals, I took a couple of minutes to take in the trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s PACIFIC RIM. All I can tell you is that I was grinning from ear to ear when all was said and done.

I truly have nothing but respect and admiration for Del Toro. He’s passionate about his projects, and his love of film just makes me feel the warm fuzzies inside. So it’s fair to say that I’ve been on pins and needles waiting for this trailer to come out. What’s even better is that Del Toro sat down with MTV to give a commentary for the trailer. Yes, there are possible spoilers. You know I have to warn you of that. The only downer is that it is MTV, and it is their content, even though they have a shitty video player, we still have to post it. I can’t just lay it down in text form because it is not the same.

Note that if you weren’t impressed with the trailer, Del Toro mentions at the end that when comparing the content in the trailer to what the full film is, then it’s like the HOWARD’S END of trailers.

Check it out below.
