Cool Videos: SNL takes on The Avengers and Jeremy Renner’s arrowless Hawkeye

Most of us love THE AVENGERS with fanboy glee, but even as awesome as it is, it’s not flawless.  Thankfully, the cool factor of the film outweighs the flaws, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have some fun with some of its inconsistencies.  Jeremy Renner, who plays Hawkeye in the film, guest starred on SNL this past weekend and joined the gang in poking some fun at the blockbuster, namely the uselessness of Hawkeye once his arrow supply is depleted.

In the comics, Hawkeye is known to grab any type of weapon to use, including guns, so I don’t see a need to defend the character as this skit is all in good fun.  It’s not the funniest bit I’ve ever seen, but I got a few good laughs from Renner and Jason Sudeikis as Tony Stark/Iron Man, especially.  Apologies to the international crowd if they aren’t able to view the embed.  Once a You Tube link is up, I’ll repost.

You Just Got Quipped!:

THE AVENGERS is now on blu-ray/DVD.
