Sigh.

STAR WARS: EPISODE II – ATTACK OF THE CLONES 3D arrives on September 20th, 2013.
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith 3D arrives on October 11th, 2013.

What was that? You briefly had a new hope that after movie goers struck back by rewarding the release of STAR WARS: EPISODE I – THE PHANTOM MENACE 3D with a little over $100 million LucasFilm would… wait… a little over $100 million? Hardly the return of the fan we might have hoped for.  George and company seem to see (justifiably) that there’s still plenty of money left to be made, and no argument or Star Wars-related puns/references from me are going to shoot first and stop it.

EPISODE II will be hitting theaters a week after THE LITTLE MERMAID 3D releases, while EPISODE III will be hitting theaters a week after SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR.  For a little counter programming you can go see Ron Howard’s racing thriller RUSH with Chris Hemsworth instead of EPISODE II or Paul Greengrass’ Somali-pirate-kidnap-drama CAPTAIN PHILLIPS with Tom Hanks instead of EPISODE III.
