Christopher Nolan has managed to maintain most of the mystery surrounding the characters and events of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, and a part of that success is the simple result that nobody really quite knows what’s exactly going on in terms of the film’s plot.
Now while this newly-released synopsis isn’t going to change that as it says nothing that you couldn’t have discerned from the trailers and TV spots, it’s still nice to see even the basic logline spelled out. Unless you’re trying to avoid knowing even a single thing about THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, in which case this would be the time to back away slowly and find anything else to occupy your attention.

Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane.”
