Please note my use of the word “spoilers” in the title of this article. And then note it again for good measure. Are we now on the same page in that “here be potential spoilers?” Okay, good – you can check out all the info after the picture.
This was the breast Iron Man-related filler picture I could find.
What we have today, if true, confims a rumor strongly bandied about even in the face of continuous sidestepping and/or outright denial from both Marvel and director Shane Black – namely that IRON MAN 3 will see Tony Stark versus The Mandarin.
‘While talking to some Wilmington (IRON MAN 3’s home base of operations) locals, we had one source involved with the production tell us that Mandarin was definitely the villain. He said Mandarin had a set of twins that did most of his dirty work for him. Another source who had visited EUE/Screen Gems Studios told us that the sets they were building included Chinese storefronts.” We already knew that IRON MAN 3 will be filming a bit in China (see above link), so that second piece of news isn’t all too surprising. As for the Mandarin bit, I do think that you can avoid the “racist caricature” aspect of the character just by making the name (etc..) a part of the villain’s plan to misdirect and plant the seeds of discord. So it honestly wouldn’t surprise me in the least if Ben Kingsley is, in a way, playing The Mandarin after all.
As for the more minor spoiler: “The story for Iron Man 3 will be set in Miami, Florida. A source close to the production revealed that he had seen vehicles emblazoned with logos for the city of Miami and Miami Police Department being unloaded on one of the sets.”
So there you have it – today’s portion of grist for your rumor mill. Any thoughts?
