New promo images from The Dark Knight Rises featuring The Bat, The Batpod, and Bane

Some cool promo images for Christopher Nolan’s THE DARK KNIGHT RISES have surfaced from Cinemacon and are lookin’ pretty sweet.  The images feature The Batwing, The Batpod, Bane, and a really angry-looking Batman.  I think the cowl has gotten more pissed-off looking with each film.

Have a look:

I’m not always impressed with the promo artwork for upcoming big releases, but sometimes it can be really cool.  I think THE DARK KNIGHT RISES stuff fall in line with the latter.  A lot of this stuff is what ends up on kids backpacks and lunchboxes, but some of it can still be cool.  Some of THE AVENGERS promo stuff is really nice as well, so it seems that you can have success with the promotional end of things without it looking like a cut and paste hack job.  Sometimes.

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES opens on July 20, 2012.
