The new trailer for PROMETHEUS premieres this Saturday, but you can catch a glimpse of what’s to come in this new teaser for the trailer now. This new “teaser for a trailer” thing is kind of annoying, but if you’re chomping at the bit to get even just a few small snippets of footage then it’s easy to overlook. It’s a small investment of time anyway.

Prometheus is lining up to be one of the biggest films of the year as anticipation for the film has surged since the first trailer hit. Obviously, having director Ridley Scott returning to the roots of the ALIEN franchise is worth getting riled up over, but the story direction he’s headed has peaked curiosity on the project in a big way. Although we have a pretty good idea of what the film will explore, I think everyone is exceptionally curious as to how the whole thing will tie into our beloved slobber-fanged, acid-bleeding, wall-crawling aliens.
We’ll find out the answers on June 1, 2012.
