“The search for our beginning could lead to our end”

Well, let’s hope Ridley Scott’s prequel to ALIEN, PROMETHEUS, treats audiences better that that. Let’s not forget the irony of “Whoever wins, we lose”, shall we?

Fox has just released the first poster from the film, which features the odd giant head that was first shown off in those official photos from the set. Interesting that there’s not even the most casual reference to the series it’s a part of!

As described in the synopsis, our heroes run across an artifact of some sort that offers a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth. That’s right- it’s not just aliens that our team of scientists will run across, it will be the answer to life, the universe, and everything. Although there will likely be lots of aliens as well.

PROMETHEUS opens June 8, 2012.
