I was a little leery of NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH when I first heard about it. I haven’t cared for any comedy with Ben Stiller or Vince Vaughn as of late.
Then when you throw in names like Akiva Schaffer, Richard Ayoade, Will Forte, and Billy Crudup, I can’t help but get a little excited. I just have to forget that Shawn Levy is producing. In the film, a group of suburban dads form a neighborhood watch group to get time away from their families, only to discover a plot to destroy Earth. Yep. Aliens.
The first photo from the film shows Stiller, Vaughn, Jonah Hill, and Richard Ayoade in purple jackets with their names stitched on them. I was so happy to see Ayoade. Then I was like, “Why is Jonah Hill reminding me of Flat Top from DICK TRACY right now?” I don’t know. Check out the photo below.
