If the name Dan Trachtenberg sounds familiar to you at all, you may be recognizing it from The Totally Rad Show as Trachtenberg is one of its three hosts. He’s also directed a number of commercials over the past few years, but Trachtenberg’s most recent claim to fame has been his work on the immensely popular (nearly 7 million views!) “Portal: No Escape”, a live-action short film he directed based on the acclaimed Valve video game.

And now it appears that Hollywood has taken notice. Deadline is reporting that Universal has hired Trachtenberg to helm CRIME OF THE CENTURY, “a high-octane heist [film] with a science fiction twist”, to be written by Dan Kunka (12 ROUNDS). Film will be produced by FAST 5, 6, and 7 writer Chris Morgan.
