Cool Videos: No Escape, a live-action Portal short film

JoBloJoBlo

While it seems more and more unlikely that videogame fans will ever get live-action movies based on the HALF-LIFE series, at least some filmmakers out there are bringing Valve’s various games to life in short films.

Dan Trachtenberg
brings us PORTAL: NO ESCAPE, in which an unwilling female Aperture test subject (with some nice guns) finds the Handheld Portal Device and puts it to some creative use. An impressive production with tension, keen ideas and a nice score — it made me want to A) see a full-length feature and B) go back and play Portal 2 again. Cake or not.
