It seems a bit strange that George Lucas is focusing on something like RED TAILS, a new project backed by Lucasfilm and co-written by Lucas himself.
Not that the Tusgekee Airmen, the all-black WWII fight pilot squad isn’t a worthy story, but it just seems pretty random, especially considering Lucasfilm doesn’t actually do a whole lot of “film” these days.

The first trailer has premiered for the movie which you can watch below. Looks like the exciting parts of PEARL HARBOR with none of the love story (though keeping Cuba Gooding Jr.). But even if I didn’t know this was Lucas writing, I’d still say a lot of the dialogue comes off as a bit cheeseball. See for yourself.
