Logan Marshall-Green is the leading man in Ridley Scott’s Prometheus

Actor Logan Marshall-Green must be thanking his agent, not to mention his genetics.

The Tom Hardy doppelganger has landed a lead role in Ridley Scott’s sci-fi epic PROMETHEUS, playing Holloway, a starship crewman and the love interest for Noomi Rapace’s character.

Marshall-Green recently starred on TNT’s cop show “Dark Blue” and appeared in DEVIL and BROOKLYN’S FINEST. Like half of Hollywood’s working actors, he also showed up on “24” at some point in its eight seasons.

Aside from the in-demand Rapace, PROMETHEUS already has Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Sean Harris and Kate Dickie also drifting through the abyss and helping plant the seeds for generations of xenomorphs.

Or so we think, from what we can discern through the galactic shroud of secrecy. PROMETHEUS is an ALIEN prequel that may not exactly be an ALIEN prequel, perhaps revolving around terraforming and the origin of the Space Jockeys and Aliens, and set some time in Earth’s future or millions of years in the past, or both. We’ll find out for sure on March 9th, 2012.

The movie begins filming this month in London. The script was rewritten by “Lost” scribe Damon Lindelof, which means you may be satisfied or completely disappointed by what you get at the end of the movie.
