Louis Leterrier is a pretty polarizing figure around these parts, as not many of you were a fan of his work on CLASH OF THE TITANS, though I have met a few fans of his HULK attempt.

The director now has a new project in the works, magical heist move called NOW YOU SEE ME. Yes, you heard that right, the film follows a team of FBI agents in pursuit of a gang of illusionists who pull off bank heists during their performances. Uhhh. Hmmm.

The script is being written by STAR TREK duo Alex Kurtzman and Bob Orci, so that might put some minds at ease, but I think I’m going to have to hear more about this before I stop rolling my eyes at that logline. I did love THE PRESTIGE and OCEAN’S ELEVEN, so making a sandwich out of the two of them might work. Or it might be like combining spaghetti and tuna fish, which are good separately, but not so much together.

Does a magical heist thriller sound like it would be up your alley or no?
