Bruce Willis says Expendables 2 will be this year, and he’ll be in it

As there were a lot of celebrities in attendance at last night’s Golden Globes, it’s no surprise we’re hearing a few new bits of news from the loose-lipped on the red carpet.

This time it’s Bruce Willis doing that talking, who managed to give up a few details about the state of THE EXPENDABLES 2 and his potential role in it.

“Apparently it’s going to happen this year,” he said.

“As far as I know, barring any unforeseen circumstances, but yeah, I would love to be a part of it,” he said.

Keep in mind, this is the same guy who says DIE HARD 5 has been right around the corner for the last few years, so take this with a grain of salt. But I would imagine it doesn’t take a terribly large amount of time to script something that relies on its cast and bodycount to bring in audiences. With the first film a success, Stallone should have no trouble convincing people to return, and new folks (JCVD!) to show up.

Not sure if “this year” means that’s when it shoots, or when it’s released, but I frankly wouldn’t be surprised if it’s both.
