Good lord, I’m not afraid of heights, but even I got dizzy watching this video. It’s taken by a MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: GHOST PROTOCOL stuntmant on location in Dubai where they’re filming a stunt that has Ethan Hunt jumping off the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifia at 2087 feet. For comparison’s sake, our Sears Tower and WTC buildings are/were about 1450 ft apiece. Leave it to Dubai to blow that out of the water.
Even as a death defying stuntman, it’s clear this guy is terrified, and he actually appears to be strapped to the building with absolutely nothing. We saw pictures of Cruise doing stunts at the building earlier, but I don’t think he ever made it up this high and he definitely had a harness.
