No one knows sci-fi like the folks over at io9, so I’m inclined to believe their claim that these new pictures are indeed concept art from Ryan Reynold’s GREEN LANTERN. They showcase a whole host of aliens, including the concept behind Mark Strong’s sinestro, and with the right CGI/prosthetics, they could look pretty damn cool onscreen.
GREEN LANTERN is going to be a superhero movie not quite like anything we’ve seen before, as the only aliens we’ve seen in our DC/Marvel movies to date for the most part has been a creepy crawly bit of black goo in SPIDER-MAN 3 and of course, the alien-in-chief himself, Superman.
This should be quite a different experience however, with every other Lantern but Hal Jordan being some crazy looking alien. Will it work? I’ve no idea, but I have faith in Ryan Reynolds until he gives me a reason not to.
