Larter flies UFO?

JoBloJoBlo

Joshua Jackson (“Fringe”) is taking the controls of UFO, a feature based on the old live-action series from puppeteer Gerry Anderson (“Thunderbirds”, “Fireball XL5”). Jackson plays a pilot for the secret high-tech organization called SHADO (Supreme Headquarters Alien Defense Organization, of course), and he’ll obviously need a second-in-command.

The film’s director Matthew Gratzner wants that to be healthy hottie Ali Larter (“Heroes”, RESIDENT EVIL EXTINCTION). As he tells Forbidden Planet, “For the character of [Colonel] Virginia Lake, we’ve talked to Ali Larter, who’s very interested. I’ve actually met with her, and I think she would be a great addition to the picture. Lake is very strong and obviously also very feminine, and Ali Larter definitely encompasses that.” Oh, agreed!

The effusive filmmaker also discusses a number of other topics related to his UFO, including other casting issues, purple hair, the prospect of a trilogy, special effects, the “retro factor”, and the evil extraterrestrials’ plans for harvesting human body parts.
