A few new photos from PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME have showed up online. While the movie does look visually stunning, as well as Gemma Arterton looking insanely hot, one can’t help but notice a slight cheese factor. This is probably because of Jake Gyllenhall who is playing the films lead character Prince Dastan.
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy myself a hearty bowl of Gyllenhall but he’s just not doing it for me as the Prince. I pictured someone a tad bit more rugged, less known, and maybe Persian. That’s what sells a movie though, big stars. They don’t even have to fit the title role.
I’m not totally against Gyllenhall though. I’ve been known to be wrong, after all I was scared about Heath Ledger playing the Joker, and look where that got me.
