Last month we heard that Gore Verbinski’s adaption of the fantastic videogame BIOSHOCK might be on hold while the studio considered ways to lower the project’s inflating cost.
It seems like husky-voiced “Prison Break” star Wentworth Miller either doesn’t know that, doesn’t care, or knows something we don’t. He apparently wrote on his Twitter page: “Prison Break may be ending, but I’ve got things in the works. Hint… one word: Bioshock.”
BIOSHOCK is set in the 1960s and follows a man whose plane crashes near the underwater art-deco city called Rapture, built by a wealthy businessman as a sanctuary for brilliant scientists and artists before descending into chaos. Could the simmering Miller be up for a role as our mysterious hero Jack, Rapture founder Andrew Ryan, or maybe manipulative adversary Frank Fontaine?
Or is it… none of the above? See… since the initial post, the Twitter account of “Wentworth Miller” has been suspended “due to strange activity” (Moviehole got screenshots first). Was it taken down by Universal or the actor’s representatives for spilling news too early? Or is it yet another case of false identity on Twitter?
Until we can get further clairification or official statement, and given the proliferation of fake fame on Twitter, we should probably assume it’s bullshit, but feel free to fire off opinion below.
