The story follows Aspen, a sexy marine biologist who discovers she has incredible water-based abilities and is the key in a war between previously unknown sub-aquatic species.

The FATHOM series and its spinoffs, published by Image/Top Cow and recently Aspen Comics, have been around since 1998 and the property was once planned as a feature film adaptation by ocean-lover James Cameron.
Sadly, FATHOM artist and creator Michael Turner passed away last year at age 37 after a long battle with cancer.
