I have not heard much about the upcoming CGI film BATTLE FOR TERRA but after reading a plot synopsis I must say, it sounds pretty decent. At first, i couldnt help but be skeptical–so many animated films are released each year that fail to leave even the slightest impact on audiences. In fact, my original article was a scathing indictment of this film, and others like it–ones that simply bank on bombastic visuals and a celebrity cast to carry them home. This one I think (and hope), will be different.

The film tells the story of two rebellious alien teens living on the peaceful planet Terra. But when Terra is invaded by human beings fleeing a civil war and environmental catastrophe, the planet is plunged into chaos. Ultimately, invaluable lessons about tolerance and the importance of preserving our planet are learned. Will box office gold ensue? Check out the poster below.
