We first heard about something called NERVERACKERS a few weeks back when a release date of April 16, 2010 was slipped, along with the director: Robert Rodriguez.
The official announcement of the project has finally surfaced, with RR indeed taking the reins of the sci-fi flick for his longtime home at Dimension. The synopsis for the movie (which Rodriguez is also writing): “Set in 2085, the story centers on a character named Joe Tezca who is part of an elite unit dispatched to quell a crime wave in a theoretically perfect future society.”
Rodriguez has been keeping busy producing RED SONJA (and doing whatever your imagination fabricates with star/squeeze Rose McGowan), but all those other projects he’s supposedly been developing or considering (SIN CITY 2, MACHETE, MADMAN, BARBARELLA, THE JETSONS, a possible PREDATOR sequel, etc.) are apparently being pushed aside for the moment.
