Things have certainly gone ’round and round on the spy thriller EDWIN A. SALT, a project that started as a Tom Cruise vehicle before getting transgendered for Angelina Jolie.
The movie (now apparently just going by SALT) has attracted some masculinity to offset the curves and prodigious lips of Ms. Jolie. According to Moviehole, actor Liev Schreiber is putting away his feral Sabretooth fangs to join the project, set to begin filming next month.
The movie involves a CIA operative (Jolie) accused of being a Russian sleeper spy and sent on the run to prove her innocence. Schreiber would play her colleague in the CIA. Philip Noyce (A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER) is directing a script from Kurt Wimmer (EQUILIBRIUM) and however many people have rewritten it since then.
