By now you probably know that resuscitated actor Mickey Rourke can seem a bit eccentric, but apparently he really got into the mindset of his spandex-clad on-screen character Randy “The Ram” Robinson.
At the SAG awards, the pumped and peculiarly textured star of THE WRESTLER claimed that he would be involved with the upcoming WWE Wrestlemania 25. “The boys from the WWE called me and asked me to do it,” Rourke muttered. “I’m talking with Rowdy Roddy Piper about it.”
Rourke expressed joy that the wrestling community embraced the film, and while it’s unclear as to exactly what his potential participation in the April event would be (pimping the DVD release?), he did single out one particular entertainer/athlete: “Chris Jericho, you better get in shape. Because I’m coming after your ass.”
