I have a soft spot (also sticky and moist) for FEAST, an old-fashioned “siege story” in the spirit of RIO BRAVO and Romero’s zombie flicks, but with a lot more messy bodily fluids.

The movie got kind of a raw deal after being engineered as the first “PROJECT GREENLIGHT” outcome intended to be profitable, but there are no such illusions about the sequels SLOPPY SECONDS and THE HAPPY FINISH. Those creature feature follow-ups are heading directly to DVD, meaning director John Gulager has carte blanche to make them as sickeningly gruesome as film, gunk and prosthetics allow.

FEAST 2: SLOPPY SECONDS picks up the morning after FEAST, and the savage horny beasts have wandered into a tiny nearby desert town only to face the bar survivors and the local flavor. Here’s the teaser:
