District 14?

JoBloJoBlo

It looks like more futuristic parkour fighting is on the way in a sequel to the French action flick DISTRICT 13 (aka BANLIEUE 13), which will be cleverly titled… DISTRICT 14.

An ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK styled quickie from the Luc Besson gang, the first movie featured “freerunning” originator David Belle (who apparently consulted on BABYLON A.D.) and Cyril Raffaelli, who you’ve since seen doing crazy stuntwork in LIVE FREE AND DIE HARD and INCREDIBLE HULK (doubling for amped-up Tim Roth). No word on if they’ll both be back for the kicky follow-up (Belle himself issued an open call for traceurs for filming this summer), but Besson is again working on the “story” and has protégé Patrick Alessandrin in the director’s chair for the rooftop-leaping gangster-punching fun.
