John Cho is one of the most likeable actors around. His work in HAROLD AND KUMAR GO TO WHITE CASTLE, SMILEY FACE, and the short lived “Kitchen Confidential” is always a welcome break. He has the ability to make you care about each character he plays, and he adds a nice touch of subtle humor. The question is, what will he bring to Sulu in the upcoming J.J. Abrams take on STAR TREK.
When I sat down with him at The Four Seasons in Beverly Hills, it seems that his likeability factor isn’t fake. He really is a nice guy. But sadly, we didn’’t get to talk shop with his partner in crime Kal Penn. Yet Mr. Cho made for a fun few minutes as we talked about what the new and improved adventures of H and K had to offer. And this Friday, you’ll be able to check out HAROLD AND KUMAR ESCAPE FROM GUANTANAMO BAY and how far the envelope is pushed.
