The 2008 Cannes Film Festival line-up won’t be announced until April but producers behind that little film involving Harrison Ford and his trusty whip, INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL, believe they’re a shoe-in to have the film debut there. These crazy kids and their ideas! In any case, this Steven Spielberg character, who apparently directed the film, along with a two first names person named George Lucas, who apparently wrote the film or the character or something, will be using whatever scraps they have left on their budget to fly themselves and the principal cast, including newcomers Cate Blanchett, John Hurt, Ray Winstone, Karen Allen and Jim Broadbent, along with dynamite youngster Shia LaBeouf, over to France for the festival. The film will debut May 18th at Cannes then go wide on May 22nd. Great to see young whippersnappers with such ambitious dreams.
