George Clooney is slowly shaping up to be as good behind the camera as he is in front of it –both CONFESSIONS OF A DANGEROUS MIND and GOOD NIGHT AND GOOD LUCK were fine directing efforts. He gets a little more lighthearted for his next, the 1920s football romcom LEATHERHEADS.
The flick finds the square-jawed multi-hyphenate competing against the guy from THE OFFICE, both on the field and off, for the hand (and lips) of squint queen Renee Zellweger. Clooney also produced the flick along with partner Grant Heslov, a.k.a. the jittery tech guy from TRUE LIES.
