If you hate spiders, look away now!. The official red band trailer and new poster for Crawlers, an upcoming spider horror movie starring Revenge and Red Sonja actress Matilda Lutz, have arrived, and the film promises to turn an apartment building into a nightmare crawling with venomous, deadly spiders. Roadside Attractions and Saban Films will release Crawlers in theatres nationwide on October 16, 2026.

Directed by Ángel Gómez Hernández (Don’t Listen) from a screenplay by Jayson Rothwell (Polar, Silent Night), Crawlers stars Lutz as Serena, the overworked and underappreciated manager of the Paradiso Palms apartment complex. Things take a horrifying turn when a catastrophic infestation of venomous spiders descends on the building, prompting a police-mandated quarantine. With the residents trapped inside, Serena must use her intimate knowledge of the complex to help them survive as the spiders multiply by the second.

Here’s the official synopsis:

In Crawlers, a catastrophic infestation of venomous and deadly spiders sends an apartment building into lockdown. Trapped inside by a police-mandated quarantine, building manager Serena (Lutz) and her residents battle to survive as the creatures multiply by the second. Armed with her intimate knowledge of the complex, Serena may be the only one who can keep them alive—if she can confront her deepest fear.

The film runs 81 minutes and marks the first feature from Badlands, a new collaboration between Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee’s Thunder Road (John Wick, Sicario) and longtime studio executive Scott Strauss (Resident Evil, Underworld). Scott Strauss, Peter Welter, Jayson Rothwell, Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, Josh Weinstock, and Alexandra Milchan produced the film. Andrew Schwartzberg, Jon Shiffman, and Diarmaid McGrath executive produced.

Saban Films co-presidents Shanan Becker and Jonathan Saba have said, “Crawlers is a uniquely visceral horror experience that gets under your skin in the best way possible. It’s a true, unapologetic genre film that delivers the kind of squirm-in-your-seat, racing-heart moments that horror fans live for. It masterfully blends edge-of-your-seat thrills with the high-octane fun we’ve come to expect from the producers of John Wick.
