I grew up with reruns of GET SMART, and although plenty of secret agents spoofs have been made since then, few have done it as well.
Warner Bros.’ big-screen remake of the 1960s TV show, a satire of espionage stories, arrives next summer with Steve Carell wearing the shoe-phone of Agent 86, a clueless operative for CONTROL helping to rid the world of the evil forces of KAOS using blind luck, a competent partner (Anne Hathaway) and an array of dubious gadgetry.
The director doesn’t inspire confidence (it’s Adam Sandler’s go-to guy Peter Segal) but my love for the original show, and the sharp cast, goes a long way. Cinematical has the new one-sheet for the flick — Click the lovely lady below to see the whole teaser poster (which does actually contain Carell).
