Miller’s Spirit intro

JoBloJoBlo

Peter Jackson popularized it, and now lots of genre filmmakers are keeping fans apprised of the progress on their anticipated productions through videoblogs, from Zack Snyder’s WATCHMEN to Guillermo del Toro’s HELLBOY II to Frank Miller’s THE SPIRIT.

Miller has posted his first vidblog for his solo directing effort, essentially starting out by letting us know he’s… starting out. Okay, not exactly much information there, but beginning at the beginning makes sense. The flick is currently shooting on green-screen soundstages in Albuquerque, which is apparently now New Mexico’s own mini-Hollywood.

The movie adapts Will Eisner’s classic crime-noir comic creation about a masked vigilante who mixes it up with stunning lethal ladies and a shadowy villain known as The Octopus. Miller managed to collect a helluva cast for his post SIN CITY project, including Gabriel Macht, Sam Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Eva Mendes, Paz Vega and Jaime King (whew, that’s a lot of sexy).
