Perennial boozy, potty-mouthed underachieving a-hole with perhaps a quarter of a heart of gold, Billy Bob Thornton, has, according to Moviehole, joined the cast of the D.J. Caruso directed drama/thriller EAGLE EYE. In it, Steven Spielberg adopted heir, Shia LaBeouf, stars as a slacker who, along with his mom (Michelle Monaghan), become entangled in a terrorist cell plotting a political assassination. It’s cooky, terrorist fun for the whole family! Moviehole speculates that, along with Rosario Dawson, Thornton will be playing one of the federal agent characters featured prominently in the script. Thornton was most recently in the comedy MR. WOODCOCK and will soon start production on the drama THE INFORMERS.
