WGA delay JLA?

JoBloJoBlo

By now you’ve no doubt heard something about these expected strikes that have Hollywood in a tizzy, but how exactly could they affect you, as a movie fan? Well, for one thing, you might not get that JUSTICE LEAGUE movie that’s been all the ruckus lately. I get the sense that not a lot of readers will actually be disappointed by that possibility…

It seems that negotiations aren’t going so well on the writers’ end of things (I believe “toxic” was the term Variety used to describe current relations). And since JUSTICE LEAGUE doesn’t have a finalized script, and the potential Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike may scrawl picket signs as early as the end of this month, they could be the Legion of Doom to that superhero team-up.

In addition, the scuttlebutt implies that the project may be having a hard time attracting top-grade talent to slip into the tights, with many actors (including the sweet, sweeeet Jessica Biel) cautious of getting wrapped up in a hastily assembled tentpole project that could step on the superboots of existing DC hero franchises. Whatever the case, it shouldn’t be long before we find out if the Hall of Justice gets renovated or condemned.
