Shia gets into action

He’ll soon be fighting some kind of big presto-chango robots, and throwing knuckle sandwiches alongside famed elder Indiana Jones, but that’s not quite enough action for burgeoning superstar Shia LaBeouf.

The kid (let’s just call him the New Cusack) plans to reunite with his DISTURBIA director DJ Caruso for EAGLE EYE, an action-thriller for Dreamworks, who has apparently adopted young Shia.

The movie involves “a young man and single mother who are framed as terrorists and forced to become members of a cell with plans to carry out a political assassination.” It’s nice to see studios bringing a little terrorism to our entertainment, since we don’t hear much about it anymore…
