McTiernan sets stakes

JoBloJoBlo

I think that John McTiernan is just about ready for his Hollywood comeback. After launching his career with classics like PREDATOR and DIE HARD, seeing ROLLERBALL and BASIC at the other end of his filmography sort of stings a little. But with early films like those to his credit, never count this man out when a new project of his is announced. So when The Hollywood Reporter tells me that he’s signed on for a new movie called HIGH STAKES, about two friends who find themselves as the collateral in a high-stakes bet in Vegas, I can’t help but hope he’ll recapture whatever it is he once had. The movie scheduled to shoot this fall in Las Vegas among other locations, and I look forward to the casting announcements for this one. My pick for the two friends? Harold and Kumar.
