Writer/director C.A. Cooper has made his feature debut with THE SNARE, a film that has been described as "a spine-chilling supernatural spookfest in the tradition of EVIL DEAD". We'll get to find out just how well the movie measures up to THE EVIL DEAD when Uncork'd Entertainment releases it on VOD and in theatres on January 6th, but in the meantime a trailer has been released online to give us a preview of what Cooper has crafted.
THE SNARE tells the following story:
Three friends head to the seafront for a drunken weekend, only to be imprisoned on the top floor of their holiday apartment by a malevolent paranormal force.
Eaoifa Forward, Rachel Warren, and Dan Paton star.
There's not much in the way of Raimi on display in the 2 minute glimpse provided by the trailer, but it does look like this could be a decent spookfest on its own merits.
