This is reaching a bit – okay, a lot – but here we have some first-look footage at AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead. Said footage comes courtesy of a new promo touting the network’s upcoming slate; it’s pretty “blink and you’ll miss it” stuff, but guess we’ll take what we can get. The show is still in production in Canada and is awaiting an official release date.
Fear the Walking Dead stars Cliff Curtis, Kim Dickens, Ruben Blades, Mercedes Mason, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Frank Dillane, and Alycia Debnam Carey. While the story is still mostly under wraps, we know it takes place in Los Angeles, during the early days of the undead plague.
Series creator Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and David Alpert from The Walking Dead are executive producers of the new series, which is being produced by AMC Studios. Dave Erickson (“Marco Polo,” “Sons of Anarchy”), who co-created and co-wrote the pilot with Kirkman, is an executive producer and showrunner. Adam Davidson directs the pilot episode.
