More flesh-eaters are on their way thanks to a little Australian zombie flick entitled WYRMWOOD, which was recently acquired by IFC Midnight for U.S. distribution. Altitude Film Sales will be handling international sales while Raven Banner Entertainment has acquired Canadian rights and plans to release day and date with IFC Midnight. It recently had its world premiere at the 2014 Fantastic Fest where it was met with some solid praise. Hopefully we'll see a trailer for this one soon!
WYRMWOOD follows…
…Barry, a mechanic and family man, as he struggles to rescue his sister, who was kidnapped by soldiers on the eve of a zombie apocalypse. He sets out through the harsh, blood-splattered Australian bushland to battle both the undead and the military alike.
The film, directed by Kiah Roache-Turner with a screenplay from Kiah and Tristan Roache-Turner, stars Jay Gallagher, Bianca Bradey and Leon Burchill. The film was produced by Tristan Roache-Turner and executive produced by Jamie Hilton and Josh Pomeranz.
