Here’s your first solid look at Christopher Nolan’s latest epic, INTERSTELLAR, starring Matthew McConaughey. For the first time we’re getting a better sense of the plot, which involves an apparent food shortage on Earth, which is so dire that mankind must send explorers into another galaxy (universe?) in order to save the species. Obviously, it’s still all a bit vague, but it’s clear Nolan is going brainy sci-fi here.

A group of explorers make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.

Alongside McConaughey are Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Casey Affleck, John Lithgow, Michael Caine and Matt Damon. INTERSTELLAR opens November 7th.
