Recently, we learned that the long talked about PROMETHEUS sequel had landed veteran scribe Michael Green to rewrite the untitled PROMETHEUS sequel for 20th Century Fox. And then we heard that the “Untitled Ridley Scott Project” that 20th Century Fox announced it will release in March 2016 was actually going to be PROMETHEUS 2, but that has yet to be confirmed. Hell, we don’t really even know if Ridley Scott will return to direct the sequel, so there’s still plenty of questions marks surrounding the project.
That being said, we caught wind of some eye-opening news today as Collider had a chance to speak with none other than Michael Fassbender at the junket for X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST where he simply stated that the project is a go. Well, there you have it… take that for what it is, but it certainly sounds like good news to us! Hopefully this will open up more details on the project because I'm dying to find out when we can see this damn thing already!
