On the heels of yesterday's news of Ty Simpkins landing one of the key roles in the upcoming sequel JURASSIC WORLD is word from THR that THE KINGS OF SUMMER breakout star Nick Robinson (above right) is in talks to join Bryce Dallas Howard and Simpkins in the film. While any solid details are still being kept quiet, we do know that Robinson will play Simpkins' older brother in the film.

Colin Trevorrow is directing the movie, which is being produced by Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley. Steven Spielberg, who is heavily involved in the casting process, is exec producing. Trevorrow wrote the screenplay with Derek Connolly. That's about all the details we've got but this one seems to be moving along quite nicely and we should be getting additional news for the flick soon.

JURASSIC WORLD is scheduled to be released on June 12, 2015.
