We've got some more monster news to throw your way as Universal has decided to change the title of their upcoming vampire tale once again. It was first branded with the title DRACULA: YEAR ZERO and then moved on to a much simpler and familiar name, DRACULA. Now, it looks like the flick has gone through yet another name change as word has come in that the film will now be called DRACULA UNTOLD. I kind of dig it! The new title makes sense because the film aims to tell the origin story of the most famous of vampires, and this way Universal can avoid people confusing it for a remake of the original DRACULA.

The script tells of a young prince who, when the lives of his wife and child are put in danger by a bloodthirsty sultan, risks his soul to save them, and in the process becomes the first vampire.

Gary Shore will be at the helm who directs from a script written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless. DRACULA UNTOLD will star Luke Evans in the lead role, along with Zach McGowan, Dominic Cooper, and Sarah Gadon. Right now the flick is eyeing a release on October 3rd, 2014.
