The creepiness of “The Following” continues when the cult show returns on Fox next year. This year, it will be bringing a few new castmembers along for the ride: Connie Nielsen (GLADIATOR) and Sam Underwood (“Dexter”).

According to TV Line, Nielsen will play “Lily Grey, a SoHo art dealer who turns to Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) for help and forms an unexpected connection with him that could lead to problems down the road.”

Meanwhile, Underwood will play “Luke, a very complicated and dangerous young man who may or may not be a follower of the “late” Joe Carroll.”

Returning next season are Kevin Bacon, James Purefoy, Natalie Zea, Shawn Ashmore, Valerie Curry and Annie Parisse.

THE FBI estimates there are currently up to 300 active serial killers in the United States. What would happen if these killers had a way of communicating and connecting with each other? What if they were able to work together and form alliances? What if one brilliant and charismatic, yet psychotic mastermind was able to bring them all together and activate a cult of believers following his every command?
